Our lives have changed a lot over the last year. We had our wedding on May 28, 2010 in Vienna, Va. It was the most amazing day of my life. It was so wonderful to have family and friends gather in one place to celebrate with us. The weeks leading up to the wedding were very stressful, but it was well worth the effort in the end. I couldn't have imagined a more perfect day! We were thrilled with how everything turned out.
We also had an amazing honeymoon in Negril, Jamaica. The vacation was packed with romance, fun and soaking up the rays on the beautiful white sand beaches. The water was always the perfect temperature and I even went snorkeling! It was awesome. We also swam with dolphins! We would love to go back some day!
In July I started working at Centreville Animal Clinic in Centreville, VA. I have to say, it was one of the most rewarding and enjoyable jobs I have ever had. I started out as a kennel assistant and worked with our wonderful boarders. I then went on to wear many hats at the clinic. My favorite part of my job was working as a veterinary assistant and scrubbing in on surgeries with the doctors at our clinic. It was so interesting and I learned a great deal.
We spent Christmas in Wisconsin and it was picture perfect. I loved sharing that special time of year with friends and family. When we got back to Virginia we talked about moving back to Wisconsin to be closer to friends and family. So, February rolled around and we were on our way back to the midwest. We hit the road in 75 degree weather and ended in a blizzard. What a welcome home!
Hello all! I have to admit, I stole this idea from a good friend (thanks Shelley)! Since Clayton and I seem to have ever changing lives and have friends all over the world, I decided to make a blog to help keep in touch with everyone.
Over the past 2 1/2 years we have continued to build our family. Clayton and I got our first dog, Loki within a few months of living together, and got another dog about 5 months after that named Maya. We love our dogs. They bring such joy into our lives. We also decided we needed a feline in the family and fell in love with a little bundle of furry joy Clayton named Figaro. We are working on getting settled in Wisconsin with new jobs and hope to add a little one to our family in the not too distant future!
